We are Romina and Jonathan, creators of Instead. Our mission is to change the way of giving gifts: supporting rescued animals instead of giving objects. We aim to be the main source of funding for animal sanctuaries or shelters, allowing them to provide a better life for animals and carry out more rescues. We personally visit the sanctuaries we support to ensure their good practices.
Juliana’s Animal Sanctuary
Juliana's Animal Sanctuary opened its doors in 2005. It is located in Colombia and is GFAS-certified (Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries). It has rescued over 3000 animals, providing them with veterinary care, shelter, the best nutrition, and respect. JAS's mission is for people to understand, through the animals we rescue, the concept and true objective of veganism. We work towards a world where animals are respected without being exploited in any way.
Goodheart Animal Sanctuaries
Founded over 5 years ago, this sanctuary is located in the UK, houses over 300 rescued animals, and is certified by GFAS. Goodheart is built on the belief that all animals are sentient individuals, just like humans. They feel pain, have emotions, and should be treated with respect.
Compassion Animal Sanctuary
Compassion Animal Sanctuary, founded in 2010, provides home and love to 210 animals rescued from the food industry and other abuses. Its mission is to provide a dignified life to neglected farm animals. They rehabilitate and promote veganism to avoid suffering. Inspiring change, the sanctuary is an oasis of hope for those who have known hell.
